IGNITION KNOB SWITCH

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 4

NO

>> Replace key switch and ignition knob switch.

CHECK IGNITION KNOB SWITCH CIRCUIT

1. Check continuity between Intelligent Key unit harness connector M70 (A) terminal 27 and key switch and

ignition knob switch harness connector M12 (B) terminal 2.

2. Check continuity between Intelligent Key unit harness connector

M70 (A) terminal 27 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Check the condition of harness and harness connector.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness between Intelligent Key unit

and key switch and ignition knob switch.

Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to

1.

CHECK HOOD SWITCH

Check hood switch and hood fitting condition.
Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 2

NO

>> Adjust installation of hood switch.

2.

CHECK HOOD SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

With CONSULT-III

Check "HOOD SW" in "BCM" DATA MONITOR mode with CONSULT-III. Refer to

SEC-22, "THEFT ALM :

CONSULT-III Function (BCM - THEFT ALM)"

.

Without CONSULT-III

Check voltage between IPDM E/R harness connector E122 terminal

41 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Hood switch is OK.

NO

>> GO TO 3

3.

CHECK HOOD SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.

2. Disconnect IPDM E/R connector E122 and hood switch connector.

3. Check continuity between IPDM E/R connector (A) E122 termi-

nal 41 and hood switch connector (B) E13 terminal 1.

4. Check continuity between IPDM E/R connector (A) E122 termi-

nal 41 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 4

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

When hood is open

When hood is closed

: HOOD SW OFF

Check continuity between hood switch connector E13 terminal 2 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 5

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

CHECK HOOD SWITCH

Check continuity between hood switch terminals 1 and 2.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to

PCS-35, "Removal and
