6. CAUTIONS:
Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.
Make sure that the area around the component is
clean and free of foreign material.
Always plug any open connections to prevent
contamination.

Installation
1.
CAUTION: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and
free of foreign material.
Install the power steering pump.
Torque: 24 Nm
1.
Connect the fuel lines.
2.
Connect the high-pressure power steering line to the power steering
pump.
Torque: 20 Nm
3.
Connect the power steering reservoir to power steering pump hose.
4. Install the accessory drive belt.
5.

Install the engine cover.

Fill and bleed the power steering system.

Removal
1.
WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle
stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.

Remove the front road wheels and tires.
Refer to:

2.
Remove the front subframe assembly.
Refer to:

3.
Remove the steering gear.
4.
Installation
Install the steering gear.
Torque: 105 Nm
1.
Install the front subframe.

2.
Install the wheels and tires.
Refer to:

3.
Refill and bleed the power steering.

4.
Using only four wheel alignment equipment approved by Land Rover,
check and adjust the wheel alignment.

Removal and Installation
Removal
1.
WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only
by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
1.
Remove the front wheels and tires.

2.
Remove the front bumper.
Refer to:

3.
Remove the RH headlamp assembly.
Refer to:

Release the power steering fluid reservoir.
Disconnect the quick release connector.
