1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH (See DISASSEMBLY )
3. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST UPPER BASE PANEL LH (See DISASSEMBLY )
4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH (See DISASSEMBLY )
5. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR ARMREST COVER LH
7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See DISASSEMBLY )
8. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 DOOR TRIM BRACKET (See DISASSEMBLY )
9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH (See DISASSEMBLY )
10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See DISASSEMBLY )
11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See DISASSEMBLY )
12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (See DISASSEMBLY )
13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY LH (See

INSPECTION
1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH
NOTE:
Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected
(see INITIALIZATION ).
After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system
requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch
OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from
the negative (-) battery terminal.

a. Check the door lock motor.
1. Apply battery voltage to the door lock motor and check operation of the door lock motor.
OK
DOOR LOCK MOTOR
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
b. Check the door lock position switch.
1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Measurement Condition
Specified Condition
Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 4 (L)
Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 1 (UL)
Lock
Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 1 (UL)
Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 4 (L)

DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
c. Check the door lock and unlock switch.
