INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

a

Install a new gasket and the front No 2 exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold LH with 3 new nuts

Torque: 54 N*m (554 kgf*cm, 40 ft.*lbf)

b

Connect the air fuel ratio sensor connector

c

Connect the heated oxygen sensor connector

INSTALL FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

a

Install a new gasket to the front No 2 exhaust pipe

b

Connect the front No 3 exhaust pipe to the exhaust pipe support

c

Install the front No 3 exhaust pipe with the 2 bolts and 2 new nuts

Torque: 48 N*m (489 kgf*cm, 35 ft.*lbf)

INSTALL CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

a

Connect the center exhaust pipe to the 3 exhaust pipe supports

b

Install 2 new gaskets to the front exhaust pipe LH and RH

c

Install the center exhaust pipe with the 4 bolts

Torque: 48 N*m (489 kgf*cm, 35 ft.*lbf)

INSTALL TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY

a

Connect the tailpipe to the exhaust pipe support

b

Set a new gasket to the center exhaust pipe

c

Connect the tailpipe to the center pipe with a new clamp

Torque: 32 N*m (326 kgf*cm, 24 ft.*lbf)

HINT:

Install the clamp within the angle range shown in the illustration

REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves when removing the exhaust pipe.

The exhaust pipe is extremely hot immediately after the engine has
stopped.

REMOVE TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY

a

Remove the bolt and clamp

b

Disconnect the tailpipe from the exhaust pipe support

REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

a

Remove the 4 bolts

b

Disconnect the center exhaust pipe from the 3 exhaust pipe supports

REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

a

Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector

b

Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector

c

Remove the 3 nuts

d

Disconnect the front No 2 exhaust pipe from the exhaust pipe support

REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

a

Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector

b

Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector

c

Detach the 2 heated oxygen sensor wire clamps

d

Remove the 3 nuts and front exhaust pipe

REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1) (See REMOVAL )

REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 1) (See REMOVAL )

REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2) (See REMOVAL )

REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2) (See REMOVAL )

INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2) (See INSTALLATION )

INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2) (See INSTALLATION )

INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

a

Install a new gasket and the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold RH with 3 new nuts

Torque: 54 N*m (554 kgf*cm, 40 ft.*lbf)

Connect the air fuel ratio sensor connector

c

Connect the heated oxygen sensor connector

d

Attach the 2 heated oxygen sensor wire clamps

INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

a

Connect the front No 2 exhaust pipe to the exhaust pipe support

Confirm that the exhaust pipe has cooled down before removing it.
